Douglas City School District is a one-school district in Trinity County, California. The District encompasses 125 square miles of mountainous terrain with scattered residences, no industry, and only a handful of small businesses. The school employs seven certificated full-time teachers and four certificated part-time teachers; one full-time Special Education teacher; and a part-time teacher for P.E. An instructional assistant assists each classroom teacher. A technology aide, an art instructor, a music/dance instructor, a spanish instructor, bus drivers, a secretary, a business manager, a superintendent/principal, cooks, custodians, and a maintenance person support the instructional program.  We are proud to offer single grade level classrooms this year!

Douglas City School District is committed to excellence and high student achievement. Our goal is for each student to meet or exceed state performance standards in all areas. Our vision is to help students to become life-long learners and to have the knowledge and skills necessary to participate fully and take their place as productive citizens in our twenty-first century. We strive to provide a safe, clean, drug free, nurturing and technologically up-to-date physical environment in which each student is treated as a worthy individual who can succeed. We are committed to the implementation of quality, research-based educational programs that will assist student learning, achievement, and self-worth.

Our school office is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm
